David Ferreira
Originally from France, David Ferreira moved to
Portugal at the age of 15 where he finished high school and completed his
university studies. With a degree in Agricultural Engineering from Escola
Superior Agrária de Santarém and a master's degree in Viticulture and Oenology
from the University of Porto, he began his career in 2006 as a viticulture
technician at Casa Cadaval in the Tejo region. After only six years, he had
moved up to become Principal Winemaker and Production Manager.
After 11 years at Casa Cadaval, David Ferreira
spent a year working with Quinta Vale De Fornos, also in the Tejo region, and then
moved to Quinta Vale D. Maria where he had a chance to explore the terroir and
the wines of the Douro Valley. He returned to the Tejo region at the end of
2019 to embrace a new project at Campanhia das Lezírias, where he is
responsible for wine and olive oil products.
