This is the main variety of green grape found in all Alentejo viticultural areas. The vine blossoms in the second half of March and ripens in the second half of September. The variety produces little to average amount, the bunches are small and pyramid shaped. The grapes are small, uniformly shaped, obovoid, pointed and yellow. The pulp is succulent hence the large amount of grape must. When young, the wine has a fine, balanced aroma and is citrine coloured.
