This variety has some importance in the viticultural areas of Reguengos, Vidigueira and Granja/Amareleja, but of little oenological value. The variety has a high production; the bunches are large, sub-divided and the grape produces a lot of grape-must. Wines from this grape have little aroma; are not acidulous, are very alcoholic and rose coloured.
