Colour: Deep ruby red core with hints of purple/blue flecks
Aroma: Very intense and powerful yet fresh aromas, dominated by balsamic notes and balanced out with aromas of wild forest berries (blueberry and blackberry). Very well-integrated high quality oak
Ageing: The wine aged in New and Old French barriques for 12 months, followed by 83 days on the high seas
Soil: Schist
Weather: Hot and dry climate large thermal gap
Taste: On the palate it is extremely elegant and voluptuous, yet fresh and well-balanced
Final Notes: Exceptionally long finish, where floral and aromas of wild forest berries return
Gastronomy: Pairs well with grilled meats or stews, hard cheeses

3,180 bottles travelled 10.199 miles spending 83 days experiencing the mysteries of the ocean and benefiting from the balance of the ship throughout the time it was on board. All bottles are numbered and certificated by the ship Master and the President of the Merchant Navy Officers Club.
